Another all around solid performance by the Penguins, as the silenced the Air Canada Center, and pulled off a 5-2 win. They're in mid-season form, and here's hoping they can keep it up all season!
The Game's 3 Stars
1)Sidney Crosby
2)Sergei Gonchar
3)Evgeny Malkin
Thoughts on the game
-Fleury is looking spectacular
-Special teams looked really special tonight
-Crosby is getting better with each game
-Speaking of which, Staal and Malkin need to be put on a line permanently. Malkin set up Staal on another sweet goal
-The Leafs showed flashes of brilliance, but are still a year or two from contending
-On that note, why the hell would you boo your own team? I can't think of a single situation in which I would boo the Penguins. I went to some games in the 90's against the New York Gorton's Fishermen where I was cheering for them not to get shut out. No reason at all to boo your team
-Hard to believe the Penguins haven't won in Toronto since 2007 (before this one)
-A ton of hard hitting in this one, what an entertaining game
-Refereeing seemed a little lax...but hey, the Penguins didn't have 9 penalties this game...
-Finally, with each passing game, it becomes more clear that when Staal, Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury are clicking, no one can beat this team.
Enemy of the (Penguins') state: Jay Rosehill - How did he get away with all that crap? A blatant spear, boarding, two fights...This guy is an absolute jerk.
