Preview: Wild at Penguins

The Penguins make a brief trip home to take on the Minnesota Wild (tonight at 7:30) before their big west coast trip

Opponent Notes
Minnesota is underperforming horribly. The biggest reason for this is the injury bug. However, it's the GM's job to make sure that the team doesn't lose too much to the injury bug. Rookie mistake by Chuck Fletcher.

Petr Sykora has been a healthy scratch recently, and Martin Havlat is injured (again). The goaltending and defense have been mediocre at best. In fact, the Wild have only got 29 team goals for this season, while allowing over 40. They also have yet to win one on the road. Just seems to be a bad season for the team from Minnesota

The Penguins are still on a hot streak, having allowed just 29 goals and potting nearly 50 already this season. The injury bug has hit the Penguins as well, taking out Evgeni Malkin, Tyler Kennedy, Max Talbot and Sergei Gonchar for extended periods of time. However, depth and sheer star power of the Penguins has carried them this far, as well as, one has to believe, some good moves by Ray Shero.

The Penguins should have little trouble with the Wild, as it doesn't look like anyone has this season.

Predictions
My Prediction: Penguins should make short work of the wild, winning 5-2
Mr Mystic Says: Penguins win 3-2

Records (Correct-Wrong(Correct Score))
TH: 8-4(0)
MM: 9-3(1)
