Anyway, Last two packs of UD Victory, and let me tell you, this must be the week of the goalie.

(click for a bigger view)
1) Radim Vrbata - Phoenix Coyotes - Not much to note here. Vrbata is a -4 in his career, but managed to be +6 in 2007-08 in 76 games with the Coyotes. No small achievement!
2) Ty Conklin - Pittsburgh Penguins - I'm a big fan of Ty and all, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed getting a repeat already in just 6 packs.
3) Marc Savard - Boston Bruins - Even more frustrating is two repeats from the same week.
4) Patrick Kane - Stars of the Game - Now we're talking. Kane truely is a star of the game. You know you've made it when you get parodied on hockey blogs(Potentially NSFW link)
5) Dominik Hasek - Detroit Red Wings - Haha. They refer to him as "The Dominator" on the back of the card. Clearly, someone who loses their job to Chris Osgood (Who has since lost it to Jimmy Howard) is a dominator. Seriously, though...Hasek fell fast and hard after his...was it 3rd?...unretiring.
6) Johan Hedberg - Atlanta Thrashers - Oh, I see how it is. They refer to an over-the-hill Hasek as 'Dominator,' but won't do Hedberg the justice of calling him 'Moose'
7) Alexander Frolov - Los Angeles Kings - DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT! Another repeat, and again from last week.
8) Cam Ward - Carolina Hurricanes - I would talk about Ward's stats, but the flavor text on this one is just too good: "At times it seems there should be a crime spree warning in Greater Raleigh with Ward around. The goaltender often robs scorers, as was evident on 3/12/08 when he shutout Chicago.
9) Miikka Kiprusoff - Calgary Flames - Hahaha. Oh man, these flavor text writers should be working for NBC. Apparently, "...Kiprusoff left the ice with a smile on his face plenty of times in 2007-08..."
10) Matt D'Agostini - Rookie - Jury is still out on whether D'Agostini is a good candidate for a Rookie Card. I know right now, he's floating between the Canadiens and their Farm team.
11) Ales Kotalik - Buffalo Sabres - As per the printing of this card, Kotalik never had a season with better than a -1 +/-. And now he's in Calgary.
12) Patrick O'Sullivan - Los Angeles Kings - Nothing really to say here. Was -14 in two season as per this card, but he did play for the Kings...
That's all for this week, and it for the new cards. We'll be back to Bowman next week! Thanks for stopping by!
