Thoughts on the game
-Wonderful ceremony before the game for the banner raising. Wish I could have been there
-Is it just me or does it just feel wrong to say that this is the Mellon's last year?
-This is clearly not the same team that won just one game in the preseason
-This is also not the same MA Fleury that looked rusty in the preseason. He's looking to be in playoff form
-Godard and Brashear squared off in the first period. Nice tilt, no clear winner Edit: Scratch that. I just saw a replay of the fight...Brashear's HEAD was bleeding. His HEAD
-Jay McKee is fitting in nicely, he is definitely a nice hybrid of Hal Gill's size and Rob Scuderi's skill
-4th line not as dominant as last season, and it is lacking a "Superstar"
-Powerplay looked okay. Better than last season
-Islanders tomorrow at like 6:30. Excited to see what Tavares can really do.

  1. I heard GM Garth Snow offered the Pens Tavares for Brent Johnson because his team doesn't have enough goalies.

  2. I heard it might be Dany Sabourin...but they he realized Sabu was in Boston and gave up
