State of the Playoffs: Round 3

Well, we're almost done, folks. It's time to take a look at what little remains of the Conference finals, as we get our two teams playing for the Cup.

Make the jump

As you probably already know, Chicago completed the sweep of San Jose last night, and finally punched their tickets to the Stanley Cup Finals. In addition to that, they are sitting pretty, as they'll definitely be the most talented team in the finals.

Of course, the real action is in Philadelphia, as they look to close out Montreal tonight. Still, Monetreal's come back from being down 3-1 in a series before, but I can't help but think that it's midnight for Cinderella.

Of course, what is left out of all of this is the fact that this may be Marian Hossa's best chance to get a cup before he retires.

After playing in the previous two finals (for the losing team, both times), the third time looks to be the charm, as I really can't expect either of the remaining teams in the East to be able to beat Chicago.

Though I didn't expect Montreal to even survive the first round, so we'll see what happens.
