Today, we're also taking a step back in that we're going to look at another pack of Bowman cards. Make the jump and let's do this.

1) Bob Brooke - New Jersey Devils - I didn't think much of Mr. Brooke, but he provides me with an awesome segue: He played on the 1984 US Olympic team. Woo!
2) Craig MacTavish - Edmonton Oilers - If you watched TSN for Trade Deadline coverage, you heard 'Mac T' providing analysis. He definitely wasn't an all-star before his GMing days, but probably a serviceable 3rd liner.
3) Petr Klima - Edmonton Oilers - Wow...now THAT is how you spell mullet! Seriously, though, I believe the native of 'Czechoslovakia' was one of the earlier members of the Tampa Bay Lightning
4) Bob Beers - Boston Bruins - Essentially a rookie card, all I know about Beers is he has the last name of an alcoholic and he was another early member of the Lightning. A little digging reveals that he played Defense, though the card names him as a left winger, and he was born in either Cheektowaga, NY (The card) or in Pittsburgh, PA (hockeydb)
5) Greg Adams - Vancouver Canucks - 305 points in 392 games. That's all I got.
6) Wendell Young - Pittsburgh Penguins - This is getting a little creepy. I'm pretty sure Wendell Young was the first goaltender for the Tampa Bay Lightning. If he wasn't he played for them early on. Other than that, he wasn't really a very good goalie to this point.
7) Dave Gagner - Minnesota North Stars - 12 points in 8 games against the Maple Leafs in 1989-90. I think he was actually with the team long enough to move to Dallas with them.
8) Tony Granato - Hat Tricks Card - Another Hat trick from April 10, 1990. A playoff day that will live in infamy. Three hat tricks in this one game, as per the LA Times, who keep awesome records.
9) Kjell Samuelsson - Philadelphia Flyers - I still don't understand how Kj in swedish = Sh in english, but whatever. If you don't know who Kjell is, go play NHL 94.
10) Sylvain Turgeon - New Jersey Devils - I'm pretty sure that Sylvain made his way to Ottawa shortly after the Senators became a team for the second time. Went to NJ via a trade with Hartford June 17, 1989
11) Scott Young - Hartford Whalers - Does anyone remember if Scott Young played for the Nordiques/Avalance? I seem to remember he did. Anyway, he only had two full seasons under his belt at this point.
12) John MacLean - New Jersey Devils - Picked 6th overall in 1983, the star of Die Hard was still plaing into the later 90's. Very solid player in his day.
13) Rob Murray - Washington Capitals - This is another card that probably counts as a rookie card.
14) Brad Shaw - Hartford Whalers - 35 Points in 64 games is pretty good for a second year defensman. He was actually an early member of the Senators, and kept a decent scoring pace during his career, though he played under 400 games in the NHL
15) Daren Puppa - Buffalo Sabres - Right up there with Ron Tugnutt for the funniest names in hockey, Puppa spent time with Toronto before he as well because an early member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Creepy.
Well, that's all for another edition of Friday Pack of Cards! Be sure to check back again next week for more early 90's hockey mania!
